This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of SpamAnalyzer's website, API, embeddable widget, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.
1. Permitted Use
SpamAnalyzer is designed to help you analyze email content for spam triggers, improve deliverability, and ensure compliance with email regulations. You may use the Service to:
- Analyze email subject lines and body content for spam scoring
- Receive AI-powered suggestions to improve email deliverability
- Generate revised email content that reduces spam triggers
- Integrate the SpamAnalyzer widget into your own web applications via the provided API
- Monitor your email compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other regulations
2. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to:
- Craft or optimize spam: Use the analysis to refine unsolicited bulk email, phishing messages, or other email that violates CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or similar laws.
- Evade spam filters maliciously: Deliberately use the Service to bypass email provider spam filters for the purpose of sending unwanted or deceptive email.
- Process illegal content: Submit content that is illegal, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or that violates any applicable law.
- Abuse the API: Exceed your plan's rate limits, use automated scripts to circumvent usage restrictions, or share API keys with unauthorized parties.
- Impersonate others: Create accounts using false identities or impersonate another person or organization.
- Reverse engineer: Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models, algorithms, or source code of the Service.
- Resell without authorization: Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its output without a written agreement from SpamAnalyzer.
- Interfere with the Service: Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the security or availability of the Service or its infrastructure.
3. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for all activity under your account, including API key usage.
- Keep your login credentials and API keys confidential. Do not share them publicly (e.g., in client-side code, public repositories, or screenshots).
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- You may not create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits.
4. Rate Limits and Usage
Each plan has specific rate limits and monthly analysis quotas. These limits exist to ensure fair access for all users and to manage infrastructure costs:
- Free: 10 requests per minute, 10 analyses per month
- Pro: 30 requests per minute, 1,000 analyses per month (overage available)
- Enterprise: 60 requests per minute, 5,000 analyses per month (overage available)
Exceeding rate limits will result in temporary throttling (HTTP 429 responses). Persistent or deliberate attempts to circumvent rate limits may result in account suspension.
5. API Key Security
- API keys are issued per account and should be treated as sensitive credentials.
- Use the
allowed_originssetting to restrict key usage to specific domains. - Revoke and regenerate keys immediately if you suspect compromise.
- Do not embed API keys in client-side JavaScript that is accessible to end users. Use server-side proxying when possible.
6. Content Guidelines
While we do not store the email content you submit for analysis, we reserve the right to refuse processing of content that:
- Promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination
- Contains malware, phishing links, or other malicious payloads
- Violates intellectual property rights
- Is designed to harass, threaten, or intimidate individuals
7. Widget Integration
If you embed the SpamAnalyzer widget in your application:
- You are responsible for ensuring your application's use of the widget complies with this AUP.
- You must display the SpamAnalyzer attribution unless your plan explicitly allows white-labeling.
- You may not modify the widget source code in ways that remove security protections or attribution.
8. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate and take action against violations of this AUP, including:
- Warning: Notification of the violation with a request to cease the prohibited activity.
- Throttling: Temporary reduction of rate limits or API access.
- Suspension: Temporary suspension of your account pending investigation.
- Termination: Permanent termination of your account and revocation of all API keys.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking enforcement action, except in cases of severe abuse or legal obligation.
9. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to us at:
Email: abuse@spamanalyzer.hpsend.com
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
